GREED THE SIN THAT DESTROYS THE GODLY MAN

GREED THE SIN THAT DESTROYS THE GODLY MAN

By DeBorah Fields 05/29/2016

Just as the camels had to unload their humps and remove their goods that they might be able to get through the gates (needles) of the city, so shall we all have to shed ourselves of our earthly goods and our riches to enter the gates of the Kingdom of God.

We have hoarded and laid up our wealth before men that they might see and honor us, but there is no honor in a man who is stingy and a miser, for he is honored for his great wealth but he is well known in the city for being a shrewd miser. For not only will he not share his wealth with another, but he will not share the wisdom of his wealth not even with his brother, for fear he might not always be greatest in the land. He may never bring forth offspring because he wishes not to share his wealth. So therefore he may die alone never ever bringing forth an offspring and never having a friend to leave his riches too and the wealth he has laid up for himself becomes the governments booty.

Our Father already knows that we are money minded, as this money topic was spoken of and taught by Jesus in many places in the bible. Our Father already knows that being greedy will destroy us when we become focused on acquiring and then storing up more riches than we need in fear that we will be without for surely the thing you fear the most will come to pass, just read Job , because men often become focused and driven by greed and their souls are never content with what they have, now they've become discontent with God.

Beware, this thing called greed can open us up to sinful ways and puts a wedge between God and us. Protect your hearts and your minds against greed and do as Paul did, be therefore content in little as well as much .Always be thankful for what God has given us but also learn to be generous in our daily giving! For it is greater to be on the giving end than the receiving end. He who is greedy shall also become a product of greed and condemns himself by chasing riches instead of God. Remember, Greed begets greed and So why would you not share your earthly goods with those less fortunate, for when we give we are given more to give, instead of losing your soul trying to hold on to it? For surely it will fall like grain through your fingers.

Truly speaking, I feel it's much better to be the one whom is the giver than the person whom needs to be given to, in other words {"it's better to have and not need than to need and not have".) Some will say I didn't give because nobody asked, but really though, did you know it's harder to ask than it is to offer? Let's face it we are all socially conscience and we can tell if someone may need a little help by the things they ask us to pray for, the conversations we have with them about the circumstances and the situations plaguing them at the time.

I guess this all boils down to what I have to say and that is be good to you brothers and sisters whom you see everyday and even those strangers you meet along the way. In order to be about your Father's business first, you must know your Father's business and His business is the people whom He has created in His image whatever their image may be..

Until the next blog, much love to you and have a marvelously wonderful life.daf
